Toc Fetch interprets the comic book as a mature art form. The drawings, which are produced very large, and in excruciating detail in pencil, depict single or multiple frames of the stories from Fetch's intense comic books. His work elevates the oeuvre of comic book to art form without diminishing the quality of the image or losing track of an engaging storyline.

His latest book entitled "Kids of Lower Utopia—Letters from the Front Lines," tells the story of River Scout Finnegan, a woman in her forties coming to terms with, and journeying-on with, her soul personified as a huge old wolf. The verse is presented in Zen like conversations, and the imagery recalls cinematic photo stills infused with the consciousness of an extremely skilled artist.
